My specialist areas are the Americas and polar regions, where I’ve formed lasting connections with both the land and its people. Known for bringing these wild places to life, I design immersive programmes that go beyond the ordinary, helping my clients to connect with nature in a deep and meaningful way.

What began as a spark of curiosity for landscapes whilst studying geology grew into a lifelong love of travel. Over the past 20 years, I’ve journeyed to the far corners of the globe – exploring all seven continents – and in doing so, cultivated a deep appreciation for the world’s rich tapestry of cultures, landscapes and wildlife. I love to push personal limits, often to be found climbing mountains or trail running in off-piste locations.

An itinerary for the trailblazers in Peru

If you’re looking for deeper immersion or if this is your second time in the country, this trailblazer itinerary through Peru takes you off the beaten path on a self-drive adventure.

Begin in Cusco, with time built in to acclimatise and explore the former Inca capital. From there, take the wheel of your 4×4 to journey through the remote Andes, passing glaciers, valleys and mountain passes en route to Machu Picchu. Continue deep into the Sacred Valley, overnighting in small villages and meeting local communities along the way. The route then descends into the Amazon basin, where rainforest lodges provide a base for wildlife encounters and river exploration. The adventure ends back in Lima, after crossing the Ticlio mountain pass at nearly 5,000 metres, ending with a farewell dinner beside the illuminated ruins of Huaca Pucllana.

The trip I’d love to do in Alaska

For me, Alaska brings together everything I love most about travel: wild places, abundant wildlife and the thrill of being immersed in nature.

I’d start in Anchorage, then take to the skies by bush plane into the heart of Wrangell–St. Elias National Park, home to vast glaciers, sweeping mountain ranges and glacier-fed rivers. From there, I’d travel by boat into Glacier Bay, navigating its fjords and watching for whales, sea otters and calving ice. Returning to Anchorage, I’d take time to learn more about Alaska’s native heritage and traditions – a chance to reflect on how people and wilderness are deeply intertwined in this remarkable state.

Brazil is home to the exquisite jaguars that are increasingly pressured by human and climatic changes. The Oncafari project is one of the leading conservation groups, set in the southern Pantanal partnering with Caiman Ecological Refuge. Travelling by vehicle, I explore the wildlands of the farmlands encountering the armadillos, capybara, macaws and anteaters along the way… along with Felino and Nusa.

British Columbia: My Favourite Place on Earth

Diving back into British Columbia, I am back into the land I love. Mountain peaks shrouded by clouds rise from the blue waters of the Pacific. Teeming with wildlife, Dall’s porpoise can be seen dancing in the wake of our boat as we head out in search of my greatest prize – bears!
