Why we like it

Sail atop the rivers of the Amazon Rainforest in a panoramic riverboat-style vessel, trekking through dense forests and being immersed in indigenous cultures while still having the option to relax in an al fresco jacuzzi. To offset the heat and humidity of the rainforest, spend time in the high-altitude colonial capital city of Quito and in the crisp Avenue of the Volcanoes to marvel at the snow-capped Andean Mountains. Venture deep into the enchanting and little-visited Amazon Rainforest, interacting with indigenous communities and spotting incredible wildlife from dugout canoes. Participate in three daily guided excursions that include hiking through lush vegetation, watching as hundreds of parrots and parakeets gather to feast on mineral-rich clay pools, and wildlife watching from treetop canopy towers.

Suggestion: Galapagos Islands Extension

To truly experience all that Ecuador has to offer, fly out to the remote and remarkable Galapagos Islands – the gem of Ecuador and a treasure of the world. The pristine archipelago, which is reachable in as little as two hours from the mainland, can be explored during eye-opening sailing voyages or through carefully planned island-hopping trips. For up close and personal encounters with fearless sea lions, penguins, tortoises, sharks, blue-footed boobies and marine iguanas (to name very few), these islands are unmissable.
