Long Point Lighthouse, Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada

Newfoundland and Labrador

Home to the Inuit and their predecessors for thousands of years, you can experience their culture and hospitality along with the humour and storytelling.

Labrador and Newfoundland is sparsely populated with 181,000 people, a third of the population, living in the capital St Johns, offering a huge diversity of scenery from Arctic Tundra, mountains, and fjords to quaint fishing villages.

The Torgnat Mountains National park offers nearly 10,000 square kilometres of wilderness with no roads and no signs telling you where to go or what to see, just acres of space to explore. Polar Bears inhabit the northern regions and you can encounter black bears and moose as you head further south. You can be assured of a warm welcome, a good yarn and some great music and it’s closer than you think.
