Malabar House Residency

The Malabar House Residency is a pretty, boutique hotel with just 17 rooms and suites. Situated in Fort Cochin, overlooking the parade ground, some of Cochin's finest sights are just a short walk away.

The feel of the place is intimate and personal. The hotel is based around a colonial-style courtyard where you find a small plunge pool and restaurant. The well reputed Malabar Junction and Wine Lounge, headed up by Chef Shivji, continues to impress diners with its creative cooking, fresh fish and organic produce.

A further 11 deluxe rooms on the ground floor and one Malabar Suite with a private terrace, living room bedroom, stretching between the two floors.

All rooms are furnished with a mix of contemporary crafted and select antique furniture. Original artefacts, bold splashes of vivid colours create a contemporary, yet romantic feel, and always reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the ancient Malabar coast.

The building is surrounded by a small garden with large trees and tropical vegetation, contributing to the unique ambience of Fort Cochin. The garden houses a plunge pool, an ancient stage for regular cultural events and the restaurant.
