Hiking Angel’s Landing

One of the more arduous hiking routes in Zion National Park. At 38 degrees it was less than enjoyable marching the switch backs in the sunshine. The view from the top however was one of the most sensational I have experienced in the US, looking straight out across the orange rock faces flanking Zion’s valley floor.

Flying over the Alaska Range

This is when the vast scale of Alaska hit me. Flying what felt like mere meters above the mountain tops and witnessing the blanket of peaks spreading out as far as the eyes could see.
