Remote Grand Canyon: Camping & Heliflights

Journey overland on iconic Route 66 to the Grand Canyon and, rather than loitering with the crowds on the rim, venture on foot to the secret places below. Cross tropical blue streams, wade through lush meadows of wild grapevines and clamber up narrow canyons, arriving at a private camp in a place that is home to around 450 Havasupai people. Paddle beneath a pristine 60-metre waterfall as your private guides prepare dinner, before settling down for a peaceful slumber in your spacious tent (or perhaps under the stars). Avoid the steep trek out of the canyon by taking a short helicopter flight to the canyon rim, admiring the spectacular scale of the Grand Canyon from above.

In the company of a Navajo Hatalii (or medicine-man), circle through incredible tribal lands on a narrated journey focusing on the cultural significance of the plateau that is characterised by a cluster of huge sandstone buttes. This exclusive tour opens up areas that the general public does not have access to, including a visit to Navajo Hogan where a number of native artefacts are kept.

Stop to take a dip in the cold clear waters of the river and have lunch at Petroglyph Beach. We can also arrange private houseboat tours or trips aboard captained vessels.
