Located in the Annapurna Mountains, Mountain Lodges of Nepal offer the perfect opportunity to experience trekking in the Himalaya in comfort. With hot showers, comfortable beds and great food, these lodges are the best on offer whilst trekking.
There are six lodges on the circuit all set an easy day walk apart from each other. Each lodge accommodates between only 14 and 20 people. Every room in each lodge has an en-suite bathroom with hot running water and everything is provided, from sheets and blankets to hot water bottles, down jackets, scarves and hats.
You will trek for around five to six hours each day, with your English speaking guide and porter who will carry everything for you, even your water bottle.
Trekking in Nepal has always been associated with sleeping in small tents on hard beds or mats, washing in cold water, sharing communal toilets and living fairly basically. Mountain Lodges of Nepal are unique as they offer the only program which allows guests to experience the magnificent Himalayan mountain scenery in style and comfort. The company pride themselves on taking an intimate understanding of Nepalese culture and tradition and take pleasure in showing visitors to this region the true charm and courtesy for which the Nepalese are known.
Facilities at the lodges include a main dining room and bar where there is a happy hour each evening. There are beautiful gardens in each of the lodges. In most of the main dining halls, there are lovely fireplaces where guests group around on colder evenings. Every room in each lodge has an en-suite bathroom with hot running water.
All of the purposes built lodges are a days walk apart on the trail and allow guests to experience in comfort some of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the world. The locally recruited guide, sherpa, porters and lodge staff ensure a level of service, essential to a safe, yet exciting adventure.
In addition to walking, there are a host of experiences and activities on offer while staying at these lodges – from white water rafting to cliffside monasteries, helicopter rides, birdwatching by bike, yoga and local culture from the honey hunter villages to mountain festivals.
Located in the Annapurna mountain range of the Himalayas in Nepal, reached either a five-hour drive from Kathmandu or a short one hour flight to Pokhara airport. Enquire for private helicopter transfers at the trail heads if tight on time.
