The swimming pool in Tharu Lodge, a short distance away is available to guests staying at the Elephant Camp.

Located on the edge of Chitwan National Park, in Western Nepal, a short 20-minute flight from Kathmandu takes you to Bharatpur airport. Here you are met and driven one and a half hours to the camp. The camp can also be reached by driving six hours from Pokhara or Kathmandu.

The lodge sits on the bank of the Rapti river and offers excellent rhino and gharial sightings. The guides are excellent and the lodge’s other staff are all very hospitable, which is a trademark of Taj Safari in India.
The beautiful Barahi Jungle Lodge offers comfortable surroundings with an amazing wildlife experience. The lodge has naturalists to accompany you on a jeep safari and jungle walks. The lodge cares for their own elephants, so the chance to witness the animals bathing in the river is a real possibility. The individual cottages, overlook the forest and are built using natural materials. The verandah looks out across the river. You might be lucky to spot a rhino from here. The large swimming pool also overlooks the river and reserve. The food is top-notch and bountiful and prepared to personal taste.
Situated in Chitwan’s buffer zone near the river, Tharu Lodge is owned and managed by the famous Tiger Tops group who set up the first camp in the jungle here before it was even declared a national park.
