Dunton Hot Springs is a restored 19th Century silver miners town, with 12 original handmade log cabins, a saloon and dance hall, library and chapel. Current owners spent seven years restoring the buildings to bring this ghost town in the corner of the Colorado Rockies back to life.
Individual rustic cabins furnished to a high level, have private decks where meals can be taken. Head to the hills for activities on foot, horseback or mountain bike with expert guides or relax in the natural hot spring or spa. In winter the town is snow covered- heli-skiing, dog sledding and ice climbing are available. Cresto Ranch, four miles downriver from Dunton, has eight canvas tents, with hand crafted king beds, wooden floors, gas stove and ensuite bathroom, making an intimate resort on the edge of the Dolores River.
This is a property like no other. A ghost town from the silver mining days, bought in its entirety, lovingly and authentically restored. The property has retained the rustic personality, history and distinct character.
If you have a special occasion, why not rent the whole town, bring your family and friends along and enjoy this unique place in perfect solace.
