A princess from the royal family of Tikari in Bihar, where her father was the last Maharaja, Lakshmi was exposed to a life of adventure from an early age.
She was drawn to tourism, and spent many years establishing and operating high-end luxury camps and tours in India and Nepal. During this period, she happened to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in 1989, where following a dip in the holy Ganges, her life dramatically changed as she felt a yearning to dedicate herself to learning and studying Indian philosophy. Lakshmi is now a spiritual disciple of two great Advaita philosophy masters and over the last 22 years, she has devoted herself to her gurus and her personal spiritual journey. Lakshmi will be with the group, just for the Kumbh Mela part of this tour.
