Shakti Ladakh Village Houses offer a range of accommodations in remote locations away from Leh where most of the tourists base themselves. The village house will always be exclusively yours. Shakti’s three village houses are built in traditional Ladakhi fashion using sun-baked mud bricks and wooden beams made of local poplar and willow. The owners understand that the more adventurous traveller is looking for something that is both original and authentic.
Walking in the mountainous wilderness is an experience you’ll never forget. To do so in simple sophistication in such a remote region offers the visitor an authentic and privileged experience of life in the Himalayan Kingdom.
Shakti has introduced new camping sites located at the spectacular Tsomoriri Lake and the remote and peaceful Timosgang village. A Shakti camping experience takes you away to the more remote areas of this mountain desert, whilst staying in deep comfort. Think six-inch sprung mattress inside your dome tent and over-head African style showers, plus the luxury and space of sleeping under a blanket of stars.
Spread across various high altitude hamlets the Shakti village properties can all be reached via Ladakh’s capital city of Leh.
