Matobo

The Matobo Hills are famous for the unique geological formations of balancing boulders, excellent rhino populations and ancient rock art. Set within an easy drive of Bulawayo, the Matobos offer a complete contrast to your usual savannah safari.

This is as much about the scenery and the history, as it is about the wildlife. Cecil Rhodes' grave at World's View is a popular stopping point, with beautiful views across this extraordinary region. These hills have been the spiritual stronghold of the San bush people for centuries and convey an air of spirituality and timelessness.

High up above, circle the highest concentration of black eagles in the world and amongst the rocks are leopards, klipspringer and both black and white rhinos. The landscape and its accompanying fauna are magically different.
