Six Senses Spa also offers an 18-metre indoor pool, 25 metre outdoor lap pool, fully-equipped gym and yoga studio with desert views. There is a nail bar for manicures and pedicures and the perfect spot to enjoy a chilled glass of wine. An Alchemy Bar and Juice Bar are on hand for those looking for an energy boost.
Dining at Six Senses Shaharut combines the best of Israeli and Mediterranean cuisines. It’s all about local, fresh and seasonal. Fresh seasonal ingredients are harvested from the resort’s own organic gardens when possible and from local farmers at the nearby kibbutzim.

The Arava Valley and the surrounding region features several historic, archaeological and natural landmarks together with the opportunity to participate in extreme sports such as off-road driving, mountain climbing, mountain biking, and rappelling. More leisurely family-inclusive activities are hiking, camel or jeep safaris, craft workshops, bird watching and wine tours.
The journey to Shaharut is part of the story, travelling through the timeless landscape steeped in history. The drive from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem taking around three and a half hours, or three hours from Petra in neighbouring Jordan. Flights from Tel Aviv to Eilat are 50 minutes, followed by a 45-minute transfer to the resort from the new international airport, Ramon. This new airport serves domestic flights and major carriers. Helicopter flights from Tel Aviv to Shaharut are available and must be booked in advance.

The Mamilla offers modern, boutique accommodation in the city of Jerusalem, within a few minutes walk of the Jaffa Gate. It is stylish and funky with excellent service, a great location and a superb rooftop terrace. The 194 bedrooms have a contemporary style with wooden floors, pastel colours and original pieces of furniture. A touch-sensitive liquid crystal wall separates the bedroom from the bathroom. There is a range of dining options from informal to gourmet and the rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to spend some time either soaking up the sun, taking in the superb views or dining in the brasserie.
A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, this former Pasha’s palace was converted into a stylish hotel in 1902 and has since hosted names such as Winston Churchill and T.E. Lawrence over the years. Split into two wings, the old and the new quarter, each room is unique.
