Sitting in the Wassa River Valley, Semliki Safari Lodge is remote, relaxed and fun. Soft sofas and colourful Persian rugs in the main area are the perfect spot to look out across the forests and savannah below, with the Congo Blue Mountains beyond.
The food here is often described as the best in Uganda, from the homemade muffins served in the mornings to the relishes and chutneys offered up during lunch (some which pack a punch!), washed down with a cool drink after an early morning in the park. The striking diversity found here - rainforest, savannah, rivers and palm forests means that even sitting in the lodge pool, provides front-row seats for the antics of resident troop of black and white colobus monkeys playing in the trees.
