Eagles Nest

Eagles Nest occupies an enviable location atop its own private ridgeline, overlooking the Bay of Islands. Set within 75 acres this award-winning property offers five world class villas, accommodating between two and eight people.

Contemporary and elegant in style, each villa has been built to maximise the breath-taking views, with huge windows creating spacious indoor, outdoor living. Three of the four villas have infinity edge lap pools, and all are surrounded by landscaped gardens and have access to the estates secluded, private beaches. Additional indulgent services on offer include resident private chefs, home cinemas, spa therapists and even the use of a Porsche Cayenne.

Activities

Explore the surrounding native bush on foot or make use of the mountain bikes provided. Alternatively walk to the estates private beaches for a swim or take to the water by kayak. The waters surrounding the Bay of Islands are a haven for water sports with world class fishing as well as diving and snorkelling, all of which can be arranged. Nearby there are some fabulous golf courses, all accessible by helicopter as well as excellent opportunities for horse riding plus the nearby town of Russell which was New Zealand’s first capital city.

Eagles Nest are involved with kiwi conservation; helping to keep the peninsula area predator free and constructing kiwi houses, a type of nesting box, for the birds to rest, nest and defend itself in necessary. North Island weka birds also reside in the area, even rarer than the kiwi, as well as little blue penguins on the estates beaches.

Location
