The European Nature Trust (TENT)

We have partnered with The European Nature Trust and local projects in-country to provide unique experiences that connect people to nature and raise funds for the protection and restoration of European wilderness.

As showcased below, we offer a number of tailored itineraries, from going in search of bears in northern Spain to tracking wolves in the Apennines, to explore some of Europe’s wild places, while also offering fantastic accommodation, great food and unparalleled access to the projects we support.

The TENT Experience

On our doorstep lies some of the most outstandingly beautiful swathes of wilderness and national parklands, here’s what you can experience:

  • Guiding: outstanding wildlife guides give an insightful interpretation of your nature experience, alongside researchers from conservation projects.
  • Wildlife: researchers are seeing wild bears, lynx and wolves with increasing regularity. While the mega-fauna takes centre stage, the supporting cast of ibex, wild boar, chamois, golden eagle and Egyptian vulture is difficult to resist.
  • Culture: this is not solely a nature experience. Enjoy the food, wine, hospitality and distinct culture of Abruzzo, Asturias and Andalucia.
  • Conservation: the perfect synergy of tourism and conservation working hand-in-hand.

Travel with purpose

All trips include a donation to the local projects to support their conservation work. This includes the restoration of habitats, monitoring populations, anti-poaching initiatives and the mitigation of wildlife-human conflict. 100% of all donations to TENT are given directly to the conservation projects and each project has been carefully selected to ensure maximum impact to wildlife and local communities.

Charlotte Lawton

My strong sense of belonging in Asia stemmed from a childhood in Hong Kong and Nepal. My Grandmother was born in a tent in India. Some of my clearest memories are of walking through a dense, tropical jungle while hailstones the size of cricket balls rained down on us; of being carried on my father’s shoulders as we trekked through the Himalayas; my mother wearing flipflops on a snowy mountainside; and me falling into Dal Lake in Srinagar as we disembarked from our houseboat.
