Linyanti Bush Camp

Where to stay

Below you can see some of the wonderful places we have recommended for this journey.

Linyanti Bush Camp £££££

  • Botswana
  • Safari and Wildlife Lodge

Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate and authentic tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti Marshes on the western boundary of Chobe. Its remoteness makes it a favourite safari destination and the camp is great for those who seek a tailored experience away from the main tourist routes. The area is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo – but lions, sable, roan, leopards, wild dogs, and a number of the plains game are also resident here. Six tents offer understated comfort and each has a living area and small private deck area with views over the marshes. The main camp has a dining area, small library, splash pool, bar and lounge. Activities include game drives, walks, bird watching, night drives, boating, seasonal fishing and mokoro safaris.

DumaTau Camp £££££

  • Botswana
  • Safari and Wildlife Lodge

DumaTau is in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. This luxury tented camp is positioned close to the source of the Savute Channel on one of the many lagoons within the Linyanti Swamp system. The main camp area is raised off the ground overlooking a large hippo-filled lagoon with a lounge, pub and dining area shaded by thatch and mangosteen trees – wide decking leads off to a secluded pool and a shaded swinging day bed by the river. There are 10 spacious tented rooms, each with full-height gauze windows providing plenty of natural light and allowing cooling breezes. Each tent has an outside deck with loungers. As a predominately land-based camp, activities include game drives, bush walks, hides and motorboat excursions (water-level dependent).
