Ariyasom Villa is a wonderfully personal 24-room boutique hotel, conveniently located in the heart of central Bangkok. The Villa was built in 1942 as a private home and is still owned and run by the granddaughter and her husband.
The well-respected, predominantly vegetarian Na Aroon is open for stylish Thai food in the evening and gives a hearty breakfast for guests stetting off on a busy day of exploring before returning to the peaceful pool to cool off. Ariyasom is for those wanting something more unique in a cosmopolitan city.
With traditional architecture, family furniture and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, Ariysom might be considered by some to be a little old fashioned, but to us it’s just classic Thai hospitality. It is a chance to stay in a private home with all the quirks and charm that come with it and the best place in Bangkok to get insider tips on where to visit and what to eat.
Ariyasom Villa is fabulously located for the major sites of Bangkok such as nearby Jim Thompson’s House, the weekend market and the National Museum. The Sky train is very close by making the city easily accessible plus the canal (locally known as a klong) runs alongside the hotel. This allows for travel by local river boat to Wat Arun, the flower market and Wat Poh, but be aware the boats only stop for around eight seconds, so guests need to be nimble.
Right in the centre of Bangkok, Ariyasom is approximately one hour from Bangkok’s international airport – traffic depending.
