American Trade Hotel £££££

The American Trade Hotel is the latest development in the regeneration of Panama City’s Casco Viejo. The property was built in the early 20th Century to house the American Trading Company department store and was an iconic building within the city. When ATC closed its doors the building was subject to gang rule and dereliction for decades.

Canal House £££££

Canal House is a small guesthouse in Casco Viejo, the Old Town of Panama City. It is opposite the Panama Canal Museum and close to other main attractions. The building is a converted mansion dating back to 1893 and accommodation is in three suites, Miraflores, Gatun and Pedro Miguel, each named after the locks on the Panama Canal. Miraflores is the largest suite, with a king-size bed, a table for private dining and an en suite bathroom. There is a mezzanine with living room space, a desk and walk-in wardrobe, as well as a daybed to cater for two more guests.
