Aashyana is made up of a five bedroomed villa, three Casinhas sleeping four each, and the two double bedroomed cottages, accommodating a large party of 26 people. Perfect for celebrations.

The two double bed cottages with attached bathrooms are immersed in coconut and cashew groves, bougainvillaea and frangipani. Stressing the luxuriant, natural environment, interiors focus on a minimalist use of colour: warm, polished teak walls and ceilings, a glass, teak-encased door, grey slate for the flooring. Sitout verandas with garden furniture in green and white blend into the surrounding gardens stretching out to the beach sit out a few meters away; the 25metre emerald pool is right behind the cottages, separated only by a plant wall.

You can find the Villa Venus on the approach road before reaching the main villa of Aashyana, surrounded by high walls, palms and lush greenery. This single-storey building of Portuguese origin, circa 1830, has been beautifully restored and renovated to retain an authentic feel. A shaded path leads to a classical porch and wide verandah overlooking an inviting, mosaic-tiled 20-metre private pool to the right of the villa. The open plan design encompasses living and dining areas plus a fully equipped kitchen; high ceilinged light and an airy with three double doors leading onto the veranda and garden areas. Elegance is the hallmark of all three large double bedrooms, each en-suite bathroom and with individual access to the private garden and pool.

• Aashyana grounds are for the exclusive use of the villa guests. However, the Casinha guests have access to the swimming pool, beach and a beach sit-out along a marked pathway on the edge of Aashyana grounds
