Dr Sylvia Earle

“Our actions over the next 10 years will determine the state of the ocean for the next 10,000 years.” – Dr Sylvia Earle.

Dr Sylvia Earle is an Oceanographer, Explorer and Author and was named by Time Magazine as its first Hero for the Planet in 1998. Dr Sylvia Earle was part of our special panel discussion at the Steppes Beyond Festival in 2017, which highlighted the extent of plastic pollution in our oceans and how we can bring about a wave of change to stem the flow of plastic waste and our consumption of single-use plastic.
