Walk around the town of Lukla with its array of colourful shops and tea houses. In the evening, your guide will regale you with tales of Everest expeditions.

Spend time with an Everest summiteer. Your private guide accompanying you along the way will be someone who has climbed Everest and has an intimate knowledge of mountaineering. They will be able to share their experiences of scaling the world’s tallest peak.
Fly by helicopter up close and personal to the Khumbu valley. Passing over Tengboche monastery, over Amadablan base camp, over Everest base camp and crossing Cho La Pass, situated at an altitude of 5595 metres. Then pass over the famed and sacred Gokyo Lake before landing at Kongde, at 4250 metres. Enjoy a champagne breakfast on the ground before the helicopter returns to Lukla.
Lukla has grown rapidly with the introduction of the airstrip and is now accessible. Lukla is now home to colourful shops and traditional tea houses. The Sherpa Community at Chauri Karkar is a short walk from Lukla. Here you can meet sherpa farmers and herders including their prized yaks. Many of the elder sherpas have seen tourism change life at the foot of the world’s tallest mountain. Find time to chat.
Bhaktapur, also known as the ’City of Devotees’ is the home of medieval art and architecture. One of three Royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley and considered a cultural gem, it is rich in fascinating history. Tread the 17th century cobbled pavements and marvel at the cultural life, watch artisans weave cloth and chisel timber.
