SeaTrek operates two traditional wooden phinisi style boats – the Ombak Putih and the Katharina, both beautifully crafted by skilled Indonesian ship builders.

Ombak Putih: Meaning white wave in Indonesian Ombak Putih is the larger of the two ships, sleeping up to 24 guests and is recognisable by her vibrant blue sails. The 12 ensuite cabins are spread over two decks and there are plenty of open spaces to relax.

Katharina: Katharina offers a more intimate experience with accommodation for 12 passengers. An elegant ship, she has sleek, simple lines and red sails.

Both ships are fitted with the most up to date technology and have lovely communal areas where guests can relax. On board equipment includes kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling gear.

Activities

Lectures on flora and fauna, the local geography and traditional islands are very much part of a SeaTrek cruise in Indonesia. These are informal and relaxed yet offer informative and enlightening information on the region. Snorkelling is of course key for those who enjoy it and unlocks the secrets of the underwater world, however, these boats do not cater to divers. Off the boat kayaking to pristine bays, searching for Komodo dragons and elusive birds of paradise with a rewarding hilltop trek, exploring remote islets or a lazy lunch on a hidden beach, are very much part of most days.
