Why we like Les Jardins de Skoura

The views of the Atlas mountains are just superb, enjoyed from the exotic gardens.

The French owner, Caroline, spent nearly two years restoring the old mill, to create what you see today.

Each of the eight stylish guestrooms has beamed cane ceilings and are decorated in a traditional style using Berber fabrics, lighting, and rugs. Two of the Superior rooms can be interconnected for a family or group of friends.

Set amidst gardens dotted with olive trees, vines and a host of different fruits and vegetables, there are plenty of spots to relax in a shady hammock or soak up the sun by the swimming pool (unheated) or on one of the terraces. Meals at the hotel are cooked using homegrown produce. The roof terrace is often lit by candlelight and the hotel is also home to the owner’s friendly dog and cats, as well as a resident donkey that is happy to take younger guests for a stroll around the neighbouring hamlets.
