Set in a prime location and only accessible by motorboat, SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge offers a remote rainforest experience nestled within a 170-acre private reserve bordering Corcovado National Park.

This intimate lodge has 14 bright and spacious bungalows constructed to blend in with the natural surroundings. A small area with a bench or hammock at the entrance of each bungalow is the ideal place to spot wildlife. The lodge has two lovely swimming pools; a sectioned pool with a shallow end for children, and a smaller, spring-fed pool. A secluded crescent-shaped beach is nearby.

Activities

Signature activities include hiking into Corcovado National Park and snorkelling over the protected coral reefs of Cano Negro Island in the Pacific. Other activities include mangrove & sea kayaking, bird watching, horse riding, diving, night tours and a day trip by boat and hiking to La Sirena Ranger’s Station, where you are almost certain to see tapirs in the wild.

This is a remote property in an exceptional location on the Osa Peninsula, that enables you to walk directly from the lodge into Corcovado National Park. Getting here is a big part of the experience: domestic flight and then a boat trip along Rio Sierpe into the Pacific Ocean where you follow the rugged palm-lined coast before a wet landing and final steep ascent to your room in a trailer pulled by a tractor. Blissful isolation!
