Day 1

Fly London to Tel Aviv

Only a century old, Tel Aviv is a young city in a country packed with ancient settlements. Meaning 'Hill of Spring', the city has grown rapidly since independence and is now Israel's second largest city, after Jerusalem.

A relaxed, modern and surprisingly liberal city, Tel Aviv is the heart of contemporary Israel. Looking out over the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean, the city benefits from a relaxed beach vibe as well as a lively art and music scene.

Day 2

Drive from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

Transfer to Jerusalem (approximately 50 minutes).

Steeped in religion, fiercely disputed and rich in history; Jerusalem is one of the oldest continually occupied cities in the world. Sacred to the three largest monotheistic faiths, the city was founded almost 7,000 years ago.

Claimed as capital by both Israelis and Palestinians alike, Jerusalem's in-limbo status doesn't prevent it being one of the greatest sites of pilgrimage in the world. Religious wonders pack its streets and the faithful come in droves to pay their respects.

Tour of Old City
A tour of the Old City of Jerusalem will introduce you to this place of intense sanctity to Jews, Christians and Muslims, where holy sites tumble over each other. You will visit the sites most holy to the non-Christian faiths; the Kotel (Western Wall of the Second Temple), and you will visit or view the Dome of the Rock. Your expert guide will peel back the layers of history and provide an overview of what Jerusalem means to the three monotheistic religions. You will then explore the Christian heritage of the Old City more deeply, exploring sites such as the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, sections of the Via Dolorosa, and Mount Zion including the tomb of King David and the room of the last supper. You will also enjoy iconic views over Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, an important heritage site mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments as the place from which the resurrection of the dead will occur, and as a place from which Jesus preached and ascended to heaven. Throughout your tour you will focus on Jesus’s acts in the holy city, his crucifixion and ultimate rising.
We have specifically noted that you would like to cover the following sites: Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethseme, Old City, Al-Aqsa Mosque & Dome of the Rock, Via Dolorosa, Mount Zion, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Round off your day with a quick visit to the King David hotel where you can enjoy the ambience of this storied hotel and hear the incredible history of this Jerusalem landmark. You may wish to enjoy a sun-downer in their new lobby bar or have a light snack in their coffee shop overlooking the Old City walls.

Begin with a visit to Yad Vashem - the Jewish people's memorial to the six million lives lost to the Holocaust. Visit the museum and walk along the Street of the Righteous, dedicated to the non-Jews who risked their lives during the Holocaust.

Next drive past the Knesset, Israel's parliament enroute to the Israel museum where you will see the fascinating model of Jerusalem as it was during the time of the Second Temple and the shrine of the book, home of the Dead Sea scrolls.

Visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, which rests over the cave where Jesus was born, originally built by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th century.
