India As an accomplished photographer and avid conservationist, Yaju has travelled all over India but is particularly drawn to the wildlife of Central India and the Himalayas.
The past decade has seen Yaju working as a naturalist in Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Panna and Pench Tiger Reserves while in his free time he has extensively travelled across snow leopard territory in Ladakh. A passionate advocate of community-led conservation, Yaju has conducted guide training with local communities focussing on getting young people to engage with the wildlife on their doorstep.
Our snow leopard group tour works with the Snow Leopard Conservancy Trust India in Ladakh and is accompanied by a team of expert trackers from the mountain community of Ulley. Spend six full days exploring the Ulley Valley searching for ‘The Ghost of the Himalaya’.
