Canada Growing up in New England I was spoilt with beautiful seasons and stunning coastline, which might explain my love for the outdoors. Whether it was hiking in Vermont, camping just across the Canadian border, sliding down the natural waterslides in New Hampshire or deep sea fishing off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, there was never a dull moment!
While I might favour my own home country of the USA, I absolutely love finding the gem’s elsewhere. There is something about getting outside of your comfort zone, diving into different cultures, meeting the locals and finding those pockets of outstanding natural beauty that really fuels the soul.
I had prepared myself for the saddening scene of a marine ecosystem on its knees. A once remarkable coral reef, the second largest in the world, void of colour and life. Yet when I entered the shallow waters of Laughing Bird Caye in Belize, I was not met with a marine grave but a completely regenerated bionetwork sparkling before me.
