Sable Alley Camp

A newly rebuilt camp, Sable Alley overlooks an idyllic lagoon in the Khwai Private Reserve. Brilliantly located, the camp is close to the River Khwai and only a short distance from the wildlife-packed Moremi Game Reserve.

Accommodation consists of beautiful tented suites, all raised on wooden platforms, with covered verandas in front of the large sliding doors. Inside, the rooms are spacious, decorated with natural colours and centred around mosquito-netting-draped double beds.

The surrounding reserve offers spectacular wildlife viewing in near total seclusion, amidst a variety of different habitats. The landscape is coated with a mixture of riverine forest, open floodplains and mopane woodlands. Animal and bird life is prolific, with herds of buffalos, elephants and plains game visible from the camp's swimming pool deck.

Activities available include game drives, mokoro trips, night drives and bush walks.

Why We Like It

Comfortable and well designed, Sable Alley is far from Spartan. However, the focus is very much on guiding and wildlife, making the most of the remarkable array of game found in the private reserve, which includes wild dogs and possibly even rhinos.
