Tailor-Made Holiday

Best of Malaysian Borneo

15 days

from £2,995pp (excluding flights)

15 days of wildlife encounters , tropical jungles and idyllic islands whilst exploring the Malaysian state of Sabah, Borneo.

  • Explore some of Borneo's most pristine rainforest from the canopy walkways of Danum Valley
  • Wild orangutan encounters -  also learn how orphaned orangutans are rehabilitated into the wild
  • Snorkel or dive amongst colourful fish , turtles and even whale sharks in the crystal clear waters
  • Climb Mount Kinabalu, and watch the sunrise from the highest peak in South East Asia
  • Relax on the beach resorts of Gaya Island near Kota Kinabalu
  • Cruise the Kinabatangan River in search of the pygmy elephant and proboscis monkey

This lovely holiday to Borneo offers a first time visitor a wonderful overview of some of the islands highlights and would work perfectly for couples and families alike. Walk in the lush rainforest, paddle up meandering rivers and relax on pristine unoccupied beaches. For the more adventurous you can dive, snorkel, go white water rafting and climb Mount Kinabalu.

Whilst in Malaysian Borneo we thoroughly recommend a visit to see the orangutans and can take the opportunity to search for other wildlife, including the proboscis monkey. Danum Valley is a wonderful place rich in Sabah's unique flora and fauna. Chose to do as much or as little as you like here. A day may entail trekking a trail, visiting the falls or water tubing in the river.

Borneo is the perfect family destination during school holidays. The best time to visit is between April and October when the weather is relatively dry, and the seas are at their calmest.
