The Royal Livingstone

The Royal Livingstone is one of two hotels forming part of Sun International's exclusive new The Falls resort, on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls.

A sophisticated, five star hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River, The Royal Livingstone stands in a 46-hectare wildlife park overlooking the mighty Victoria Falls.

Its 173 rooms are designed to evoke a bygone era, and all have private balconies or terraces. The hotel also has an a la carte restaurant, which opens onto spacious verandas, and a boma (reeded enclosure) with seating for up to 350 people.

Activities available at Royal Livingstone include white water rafting, bungee jumping, sundowner cruises, game drives, horse riding, bird-watching and bicycle excursions.

Why we like it

The gardens around the hotel are brilliant and the deck which has been built over the Zambezi make for the perfect spot to enjoy a drink.
