Conservation Tours

Here at Steppes Travel, we have been running insightful and groundbreaking wildlife group tours since our inception in 1989. We have run our tours in conjunction with conservation agencies such as Fauna & Flora International, Wildlife Conservation Society, the Orangutan Foundation, Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and the Jane Goodall Institute.

Our conservation tours epitomise the Steppes Travel belief that responsible tourism can be used as an effective tool towards conservation and in doing so, enhance the overall travelling experience.

We give clients the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with animal care, protection and rehabilitation, and to further understand the importance of our impact on habitats and how to support the local communities in this awareness. We also give you the chance to give back, as your contribution to the group tour enables support to the charitable organisation.

  • Steppes have supported with the Orangutan Foundation for over 15 years.
  • We have worked with the Galapagos Conservation Trust for over ten years.
  • We have provided support to Save the Rhino, having members of the Steppes team taking part in the London Marathon.
