What's Hot for 2022

Here again at the start of a new year, at the edge of a new chapter, we cannot rely on hope or a fortuitous plot twist but rather we need to control what goes on in our world. We need to take first steps. We need to follow our bliss.

Whilst we might be enjoying Costa Rica and its leaf-eat-leaf world via the BBC’s Green Planet, as an armchair traveller we do little to protect or enhance the amazing biodiversity of our planet.

In travelling to Costa Rica and visiting the rainforest, our footfall makes a difference. Our small steps matter. So too in travelling to Kenya – your money helps fund rangers’ salaries, protects wildlife and benefits local communities. Browsing the local markets and enjoying the culinary delights of Sri Lanka is a huge support to its local economy.

These are some of the countries we feature below, not just because your travel matters but because now is a good time to travel there and the perfect start for an unforgettable holiday.

Wales 4x4 adventure

Our North Coast 500 guided self-drive holidays were extremely popular in 2021. We’ve taken the same model to come up with an alternative four-night winter route in Wales, driving through the Cambrian Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia staying on working farms and converted castles.

Why 4×4 in Wales? In the summer, we will be offering this trip in conjunction with a hop over to Ireland.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and your team for looking after us so well! Who could have foreseen electric storms and the civil unrest in Chile. You couldn’t have looked after us better if you had been on the spot! We had an AWESOME adventure – your advice and suggestions were bang on the nail every time. Each hotel was better than the next and the cruise was FANTASTIC.
