Tompkins Conservation

My Expertise

  • Argentina Flag Argentina
  • Chile Flag Chile

Doug and Kris Tompkins are synonymous with conservation in Patagonia, having worked to protect thousands of square miles of spectacular wildlife habitat across Argentina and Chile. Their vision led to the Route of Parks of Patagonia, a 2,735-kilometre scenic highway linking 17 national parks and using sustainable tourism development as the ‘first line of defence in conservation’.

Tompkins Conservation has spearheaded numerous rewilding projects across Chile and Argentina, reintroducing jaguars into the Ibera wetlands and releasing rehabilitated condors into Patagonia National Park.

Talk to our team about visiting the new Explora lodge in Patagonia National Park to see first-hand the work being done to protect the wildest reaches of the South American continent.
