Alex Walkers Serian, sits in the award winning Mara North Conservancy, high up on an escarpment with commanding views overlooking the Mara River. The spacious tented rooms are a mix of smooth stone and wood, softened by the classic East African style canvas soft rugs and writing desks.
The main dining room is a cosy cottage, full of character and a roaring log fire, while the outside mess area is built around enormous hardwood trees lending the place a very organic feel, with fresh flowers adding colour. The camp however is all about the guiding and Alex's passion for the area (he was involved in the formation of the Mara North Conservancy) means everything here allows you to have an exceptional wildlife experience. From the private vehicles for each couple, the exceptional walking safaris in the camps private reserve, to the tree house with night vision cameras where sundowners are taken and a night can be spent under the stars, this camp is perfect for those who want some of the best guiding around in an authentic camp with added panache.
