Indonesia is home to some of the world’s best hotels, from private pool villas set within lush gardens to remote island paradises. We work closely with our favourites properties to ensure the best fit for our clients. This holiday includes those with a sense of place such as Capella Ubud, the Legian for the perfect sunset and Sudamala for your Komodo base. From the food to the service, there is a property to suit all tastes and budgets.
Seeing these iconic lizards, the world’s largest, on their home turf is magical, prehistoric almost. Lazily walking along the beach, they patrol the islands of Rinca and Komodo detecting food with forked tongues – ready to devour their prey with sharp serrated teeth. Based in Labuan Bajo, take a day boat to explore the islands – ideally private to allow for flexibility and a more bespoke experience.
Bank a lifetime of family memories. Indonesia offers younger children safe, gently shelving beaches with an early introduction to exciting wildlife while older children can take full advantage of this diverse county, from cycling to sailing, diving and conservation. With Indonesia’s weather at its best during the long European summer holidays there is time to really explore. Add on Java for some ancient culture or stay on a houseboat in Tanjung Puting National Park to walk amongst endangered orangutans.
