Explore Ancient Maya Ruins

Despite sitting in the shadow of towering Maya metropolises such as Chichen Itza in Mexico, Tikal in Guatemala and Xunantunich in Belize, Honduras is home to some of the most exciting archaeological discoveries of the last century. In the company of an expert local guide or archaeologist, travel to the remote ruins of Copan, widely considered to be amongst the continent’s most spectacular Maya cities. Once forming part of the three largest and most lavish cultural centres of the New World, it is said to hold some of the most beautiful pre-Columbian art in the Americas.
