Greenland - Cruises

Cruising in Greenland with Steppes Travel is a long way from the traditional cruising holiday onboard vast liners unloading thousands of passengers onto tiny communities.

Small Ships

Steppes offer a delightful 34 passenger sailing boat, expedition ships that range from 54 to 198 passengers and ice breakers with a capacity of just 120 passengers.  Crew to passenger ratio is excellent and all landings are accompanied by expert naturalist guides.

Active Departures

Most voyages around Greenland will include physical activity such as hiking, kayaking, zodiac excursions and snow-shoeing.  On selected departures there may also be the opportunity to camp. Hiking is great way to fully appreciate Greenland’s wilderness. Each hike will vary taking in landscape, communities or shorelines.  Kayaking enables a much closer experience with the rugged coastline and the beautiful calm bays, but is always weather dependent.

For those interested in photography a voyage around Greenland offers exceptional opportunities for some incredible photography.  Select departures offer photo workshops where passengers can travel in the company of an experienced photography to help take advantage of the dramatic landscapes and beautiful light.  These departures are open to both beginner and professional photographers.
