Sophy Roberts – The Lost Pianos of Siberia

Join us for an evening with acclaimed journalist Sophy Roberts, for a journey through one of the harshest landscapes on earth—where music reveals the deep humanity and the rich history of Siberia.

With slides and video, Sophy will speak of her experiences in Russia, particularly Siberia, in the writing of her acclaimed book, ‘The Lost Pianos of Siberia.’ Sophy will highlight many characters in her travels, showing us their poignant human stories that resonate all the more powerfully given the current context of war in Ukraine. There will be a Q&A session after her talk to ask more about the book, or talk Russia in general.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to The Long Table which helps give people in our community access to food and ensures that they are not eating alone.
