Although not the prettiest of Morocco’s cities Casablanca is the modern, commercial centre of the country and has some of the best boutique shops and art galleries.
It is also home to Hassan II Mosque, with its tranquil waterside setting and space to house over 100,000 worshippers this ornate and impressive mosque, is one of the largest in the world. Nearby is the country’s capital city of Rabat, with its coastal location, tree-lined boulevards, colonial architecture and peaceful medina this gem of a city is often overlooked but has a rich history which is displayed in some of the many fascinating monuments.
