Why we like it

By choosing to cruise around Greece and Turkey you access the best parts of both countries. With the ability to moor away from harbours and large resort complexes, you enjoy the pristine and peaceful locations along the coastline. Staying on a boat means no carrying of luggage, no catching ferries and no need to pack and unpack as you move around.

If you are planning a multi-generational holiday or celebrating in style why not charter your own luxury gulet in Turkey. There is a boat to suit your family, and can happily accommodate seventeen people.

What Can I Expect on a Gulet Cruise

A fixed departure cruise on a luxury gulet offers five-star comfort and luxury amenities at a more affordable price than a private charter. The guests that join you on board are international, like-minded travellers, often of similar ages. Children from eight years upwards are usually welcome. An advantage of joining a fixed departure is the knowledge that there are no additional costs for fuel, meals or beverages. However, the onshore sightseeing is usually optional with a local payment for entrance fees and incidentals.

The boat is not privately chartered so will have a set departure date which is normally a Saturday. The boats operate on this schedule between May and October, excluding August when many of the yachts in the Med are all hired on a private basis.

The Aegean Coast

The coast around Bodrum offers some of the most pristine and beautiful bays and coves. The Dodecanese are a loose collection of islands in the Aegean Sea, situated off the west coast of Turkey, between Patmos and Kalymnos. The stretch of water between the Turkish port of Bodrum and the Greek Island of Kalymnos is just shy of 35 miles. These islands offer a tranquil, picturesque charm that has almost vanished from many of the better-known Greek island resorts. The footprints of cultures from the Greeks and Romans to crusading medieval knights, and from Byzantine and Ottoman potentates to 20th-century Italian bureaucrats are all found here, along with many remote islands that are begging to be explored.

Unspoilt Greek Islands

The joy of travelling by gulet is being able to explore the more secluded corners of Greek and Turkey.

Swim and snorkel from the gulet yacht, go ashore and walk the traditional harbours with crusader castles and local handicrafts. Evening meals are a mixture of dining in authentic tavernas and meals on board the boat.

Kalymnos has never relied on tourism so has remained wild and unspoilt and is one of the most authentic destinations among the Greek islands.

Visit the islet of Telendos. Swim and snorkel from your gulet yacht in one of the small secluded coves dotted around the island and go ashore to walk along the paved shady main street. We recommend a visit to “On The Rock”- a taverna known for freshly caught fish.

Explore the total seclusion of Lipsi Island. It is said that there is one church for each family on Lipsi.

Leros has a crusader castle and the culinary heritage features many unique Lerian specialities, including the exquisite fresh octopus.

Drop anchor to snorkel off the uninhabited Orak Island, located in Gokova Gulf -just 10 miles off the coast of Bodrum – and known for its rich maritime life.

Discover the Bodrum Peninsula on Foot

If you have a few nights to spare, we strongly suggest some time exploring the Bodrum Peninsula, the ancient city of Halicarnassus and Ephesus. Experience the growing success of Turkish wines with a visit to Karnas Vineyards near Bodrum. Bodrum is surrounded by pine forests and has a beautiful harbour with a striking castle dominating Bodrum’s seafront.

To enhance your stay in Bodrum we will provide a private guide and driver. Whilst here, visit Ephasus, Turkeys most important ancient city, and on return stop for supper at the award-winning winery of Yedi Bilgeler.

Very positive experience - guide in Athens incredible. Top marks to the lady who took us around the Acropolis.

We have been on trips all over the world and have chartered yachts many times. This was the best trip and experience we have ever enjoyed. The sights, the yacht, the crew, the food and beverage were top shelf all the time.
