Dubrovnick Harbour, Croatia

Croatia Holidays

A blue-green expanse of awe-inspiring sights and sites. Dubrovnik, in particular – with its eye-catching Venetian architecture and mazy cobbled streets – is the perfect base for your itinerary.

From the slopes of the beautiful mountains that are home to skiing in winter and carpeted by wildflowers in spring, down to the 500 kilometres of rocky coastline, Croatia is a holiday paradise. To date, only sixty-six of the thousand-plus islands are inhabited, but more will surely follow.

Why we like Croatia

Each island is indented with sublime coves, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and invariably there is a restaurant close by serving a simple selection of fresh fish or barbequed lamb.

While Dubrovnik is probably the most famous town, the coast and islands support a number of smaller versions which, dating back to the late 16th century, are complete with Venetian architecture and original cobbled streets. Absolutely gorgeous.
