Fogo Island Inn is remarkable for more than its location. Operated and owned by Shorefast, a registered charity, it is an entirely not-for-profit venture, having been constructed through philanthropic support. This means that all funds generated can be reinvested back into the local community or go towards supporting Shorefast’s charitable projects.
No matter what time of year it is, there are a huge number of activities to enjoy from hiking in the berry season to art workshops, cross country skiing in the winter, traditional cod fishing, and if you are brave enough in the ice period – ice pan jumping!

Positioned in the heart of a quaint and historic outport town in Newfoundland, Artisan Inn and its self-catering homes are dotted throughout colourful and idyllic Trinity. The Registered Heritage Building is a four-star property that is reachable by zodiac boat transfer, an exhilarating testament to its remoteness. Expect home-cooked breakfasts and dinners served at a table for fourteen, staff with wonderful senses of humour, and simple but cosy accommodations.
