Situated just outside the northern boundary of Moremi Game Reserve at the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta on remote Nxaragha Island, is Camp Okavango. An African safari lodge, Camp Okavango assures a year-round unparalleled water wilderness experience.
The camp accommodates 24 guests in 12 airy wooden suites. Raised on teak platforms, they feature en-suite facilities and sliding glass doors that open onto a deck. The main lodge area, under thatch and open-sided, features a bar, comfortable sitting area, and dining area leading onto an open-air patio with fireside. There is a secluded bird-viewing hide and plunge pool.
A camp well-known for great birding due to its permanent water location, Camp Okavango also offers water-based game-viewing activities from motorized boats and mokoros expertly navigated through the many meandering, reed-lined waterways. Guided nature walks are conducted on nearby islands as well as catch and release fishing (not permitted January and February).
