Borneo Eagle Resort

Borneo Eagle Resort is the only hotel on the beautiful island of Pulau Tiga, surrounded by coral filled waters. The 13 huge villas are all located on the beachfront and range from pool villas with their own private pool to spa villas with extended living areas and a spa room.

All of the villas are spacious and private with their own verandah or decked area. With a minimum stay of three nights, there is plenty to do from the spa to the huge swimming pool or snorkelling on the coral filled reefs.

Why we like Borneo Eagle Resort

Malaysian Borneo has long been in need of another luxury hotel, perfect for some relaxation at the end of an action-packed holiday. The rainforest interior of Pulau Tiga is untouched and the reefs surrounding the island are healthy and full of life. As the only accommodation on Pulau Tiga, guests have the island all to themselves.

  • Swimming pool
  • Fitness centre
  • Spa
  • Two restaurants with a farm to table philosophy which fuses Western and Asian flavours

An island, water-based activities feature heavily during a stay here: kayaks and paddle boards available to borrow and there are some really excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities. Thick jungle covers the island's interior and it is possible to explore this region on foot with a guide or maybe head out to do some fishing. Back at the hotel are Yoga and Pilates classes as well as a pool table, darts and beach volleyball. The hotel can also arrange private picnics and the skies at night are wonderful for star gazing.

Located off the east coast of Malaysian Borneo, around a two-hour drive south of Kota Kinabalu is followed by a short 20-minute boat ride to the island itself.
