Having grown up in Thailand I thought I’d seen some of the world’s clearest water, until I landed in the Maldives.
Like a small child I took pictures of my toes in the sea, just to remind myself how truly luminous the water was and stood, agog each time I arrived at a new island with even more glistening waters. It’s a funny place the Maldives, I usually jump at every opportunity to explore the local culture, wandering off to a market but sometimes day to day life leaves you longing for some time to read a book, catch up with family and just while away a few hours with the sun on your face. If this is the case then you’ll undeniably find it in the Maldives.
