National Geographic Seabird

Built in 2001, Sea Bird was specifically designed with a relatively shallow draft and lean lines to cruise into areas that would be inaccessible to larger vessels. Although maintaining the air of expeditionary cruising, Sea Bird has more the feel of a private yacht and the 31 air conditioned, outward facing cabins of varying size, are no exception.

Additional items such as a forward facing underwater bow camera, hydrophones, wet suits, underwater video camera and video microscopes all add to its scientific sophistication. Plenty of room to relax and interesting lectures in the evenings.
