Located amidst the sand dunes of Australia's vast central desert, Longitude 131° offers an eco-sensitive, luxurious and romantic place to stay, with privileged views of the sun rising and setting over Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Each of the 15 individual tented rooms is elevated and beautifully decorated using organic fabrics and aboriginal art. All make the most of the spectacular views with floor to ceiling windows as well as a private terrace with outdoor daybed and open fire. The Dune House is home to communal areas including the pool, spa and restaurant where Uluru still dominates the vista.
Why we like Longitude 131
There really isn’t a better way to experience Uluru. The rock changes colour throughout the day - upon waking at sunrise, experience a magical glow, getting brighter during the day and back to a shimmering red colour as the day fades. Nowhere else can you witness this magic from the comfort of your bed. The night skies are just awesome, and each room at Longitude 131 now has a luxury ‘swag’ style bed on the terrace enabling guests to sleep out under the stars if they wish.
