Estancia La Bamba is a family-run property with a 600-acre cattle ranch within its grounds and is one of the oldest working estancias in Argentina and has been awarded Relais & Chateaux status.
With just 11 rooms, the estancia has a very intimate feel and you have the run of the estate during your stay. You can do as little or as much as you would like. La Bamba is the perfect base from which to explore and experience the charms of local rural life; they are proud to offer authentic gaucho traditions such as asados and mate tasting. Stays are on a full board basis including meals with house drinks as well as outdoor activities such as horse-riding, walking and gaucho shows.
Why We like It
We love La Bamba for its truly traditional atmosphere and its nurturing of all things Gaucho. Whether you wish to polish up on your riding, observe polo games, relax by the pool or read quietly in the pulperia (the oldest building on the estate dating back to the 18th century), La Bamba is delightful. The estancia also makes the ideal base to witness the annual Gaucho Festival that takes place in San Antonio de Areco. Visit the town with La Bamba who will host you for the day weekend with drinks, performances and insiders’ knowledge of this incredible spectacle of horsemanship.
