Set in a verdant nature reserve of 54 acres, Villa Samadhi is a charming low rise building that was once an army garrison.

Now a boutique hotel of 20 rooms, it has retained its 1920’s colonial feel with original shutters, black and white colour scheme and antique furniture showcasing the owner’s journeys through Asia. Each room features recycled timber with high ceilings and wide verandas, and some have private plunge pools or wooden soaking tubs.

Villa Samadhi is one of Singapore’s best kept secrets. We love the tranquil location and the laid back but excellent service.

Facilities

There are no swimming pools or spas at Villa Samadhi – it is very much a peaceful refuge to return to after a day exploring Singapore. There is a lounge with a library as well as a bar and the award-winning Tamarind Hill restaurant a short walk away.

Away from the buzz of the city it is possible to explore the nearby nature reserve on foot or by bike.
